2010-wb_listovka 2-1.jpg The 14th annual IWCM Winter Charity Bazaar, which took place at Moldexpo on Saturday 4th December, was bigger and better than ever.
Over 30 Embassies, international organisations, charities and local crafts producers took part and well over 7 000 visitors came to see them.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, media partners, donors, volunteers supporters and the wonderful people of Moldova, we raised over $35 000 for charity!

More countries were represented than ever before, so visitors could shop for traditional food, gifts, souvenirs and lots of other goodies from Belarus, Britain, Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, the European Union, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and the USA.

IWCM's Second Hand Booth was as popular as ever selling good quality clothes at bargain prices and our Craft Booth this year was a treasure trove of exquisite gifts made by our talented members!

There were hundreds of lucky winners in our amazing raffle too and crowds of happy visitors went home with fantastic prizes: return flights from Chisinau to Istanbul courtesy of Turkish Airlines, romantic nights in Prague & Bucharest, dinners in Chisinau's most popular restaurants, fine food, wine and spirits from different countries, spa beauty treatments, top quality cosmetics, fabulous jewellery, beautiful things for the home, excursions, gym memberships, golf lessons, free bowling, games, toys, books and much, much more!

Free entertainment was provided all day by a fabulous range of talented singers and dancers of all ages and from many different countries as well as a star performance from Moldova's very own Pasha Parfenii! Happy kids had their faces painted and visited Santa in his grotto - and Santa had plenty of grown-up visitors too!

In 2010 the IWCM Winter Charity Bazaar raised money for five worthy causes helping women, children and the elderly in Moldova. With your help we can continue our support for the TB Rehab Centre for Children in Tirnova; fund the renovation of decrepit and unsanitary bathrooms in the Paediatric Department of Soldanesti District Hospital; fund a project run by the NGO, Compasiune, to teach vocational skills to the young with the involvement of the elderly in Costesti; fund an Art Club run by local community association, Soarta, for the elderly in Soroca and buy equipment for a safe and happy playground at the Impreuna Community Social Assistance Centre in Olanesti.

A big thank you to all our many generous sponsors and media partners!
