Ingredients and dose

  • Chicken, 1 kg
  • Onion, 4 medium size
  • Ginger garlic pest, 2 table spoons
  • Turmeric powder, 2 table spoons
  • Cordiander and cumin powder, 2 table spoons
  • Mix Indian spices or Indian garam masala, 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato pest, 1 table spoon
  • Bay leaves, 2
  • Cumin seeds, 1 tea spoon
  • Oil, 200 gr
  • Water, 2,5 cups


How to make halwa

Step 1
Mix one spoon of the ginger garlic pest, one spoon of the turmeric powder and some salt in the chicken and leave it 15 minutes for marinate.

Step 2
Cut the onions in cubes.

Step 3
Heat the oil in a pan and add the bay leaves and cumin seeds. Roast it 30 seconds and add onions. Fry till they becomes pink.

Step 4
Add one spoon of the ginger garlic pest, one spoons of the tomato pest, one spoon of the turmeric powder, the mix of Indian spices and half cup of water. Fry for 10 minutes.

Step 5
Add the chicken and two cup of water. Leave it on medium flam. Mix it every 4/5 minutes till chicken cooked.

Now your chicken masala is ready. You can also add a little chili powder if you like it.
