IWCM ADMINISTRATION BOARD

To fulfill the objectives of the Club, the IWCM elects a Board of Directors every three years.

The IWCM Board is elected by the General Assembly of its members. All club members are eligible for nomination and election to any Board position, serving on a volunteer basis.

The Board is responsible for making executive decisions and representing the interests of members throughout the current season, which runs from September 1 of each year to June 30 of the following year. Typically, the IWCM Board convenes monthly to plan activities, assess club needs, brainstorm new initiatives, and receive updates from the Grants Committee, Activities, and Membership Coordinators. The Board also oversees and manages the Club’s finances and binding contracts. In addition to its regular responsibilities, the Board organizes prominent fundraising events such as the International Charity Bazaar and the Night of the Arts, as well as charitable initiatives like the Angel Tree Project.

Additional management and control functions

The club's organizational structure also features the following roles:

  • the Administrator is a non-voting position on the Board. She advises the Board, maintains the administrative guidelines and by-laws, and can be consulted during meetings on administrative procedures;
  • the Auditor, elected from by the General Assembly, that carries out the control over the economic and financial activity of the IWCM. She is not a Board member.
